Is the centre suitable for access by disabled users?

Yes, we have accessible ramps to the main entrances and a semi automatic door. There are customer lifts to access all floors.

There is a ramp up to the main entrance from the main car park and a semi automatic door at the entrance on Central Avenue. There is a lift on the grand floor of the pool viewing area.

Is there car parking available?

Yes, there is a Swale Borough Council operated car park adjacent to the leisure centre. Customers paying to use the leisure centre are entitled to a refund upon presentation of the car park slip at reception of up to a value of £1.40. Customers attending for swimming lessons can only claim for a one hour refund.

Do I have to be a member to use the leisure facilities?

No, you do not need to be a member to use Swallows Leisure Centre. Activities are available on a ‘pay as you go’ basis as well as value for money membership packages. To book for activities, such as workout classes, racquet sports and swimming lessons you simply need to become a Booking Member. This can be achieved by contacting reception via the telephone or during your visit to the leisure facility or simply on-line by downloading the Booking Customer Application Form and emailing the completed version.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, there are lockers available in the swimming changing room which require a non refundable locker token available from reception for 20p. There are also lockers located near the gym and in the gym changing rooms which take £1 which is refundable.

Can I buy clothing and equipment at the leisure centre?

Yes, Swallows Leisure Centre provides a range of products. Whether they are goggles, swim costumes, fun inflatable for the swimming pool; accessories for racquet sports or water bottles, towels, kit bags for the fitness suite there is a range available for you to view on our on-line retail shop available.

Are the gym instructors qualified?

Yes, all gym instructors are qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Fitness Instructing.

What clothing does my child need to wear for the holiday activity club?

It is recommended that your child wears clothing that is relevant to the activity they will be taking part in. For example tracksuit, trainers and t-shirt for multi-sports; swimming costume for swimming activities.

Do children need to bring anything with them to the holiday club?

Children are required to bring a packed lunch if they are staying for the whole day and not purchasing food from the centre and also any medication they require. Children will also be required to bring swimwear and a towel for swimming activities.
