Our newly-refurbished Active Zone at Swallows Leisure Centre is perfect for a fun-packed family day out. We have Clip ‘n Climb for kids and adults, a HUGE soft play for toddlers and a café for refreshments too.
We offer FREE parking for Active Zone users – simply bring the tear off slip to reception to claim the parking charge back.
Clip 'n Climb
We’re Swale’s only fully-licensed Clip ‘n Climb provider. This is the easiest and safest way to try climbing, so bring the family down and test your skills across our 13 climbing modules.
Indoor climbing has never been safer – our automatic belay devices take up the slack as you climb, and then gently lower you down the ground.
Pre-booking your Clip ‘n Climb session is highly recommended as they do fill up quickly. You can call in and try your luck - but there is no guarantee that we will have spaces available.
No climbing experience is necessary on the Clip ‘n Climb – as a full safety briefing will be given by a member of our specially-trained Clip 'n Climb team.
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked session time to ensure you’re booked in at reception. After the safety briefing, you will have 40 minutes in the climbing arena and all safety equipment is provided.
Clip ‘n Climb is suitable for ages 5+.
Soft Play
Everybody loves soft play! It’s fun, it’s safe and it’s a great way for kids to blow off some steam and make new friends!
Our soft play includes sensory lights with interactive panels to help children in their development. We have two areas within the soft play - one is for toddlers (aged 0-4 years) and a separate area for children aged 5+.
Pre-booking is no longer required.
Please be aware the Active Zone will be closing at 1:15pm on the following dates:

Active Zone Café
There’s also a small Café area in our Active Zone where you and the kids can have a bite to eat after your Soft Play or Clip 'n Climb session. Choose from a selection of sandwiches, snacks and hot & cold drinks.

Let your party go crazy with an hour of Soft Play fun, with exclusive use of the Soft Play to your party.
Let them crawl, climb, jump and run in a safe secure area! For up to 30 children.
Clip 'n Climb Parties
An hour of a fun and climbing for up to 15 climbers, from ages 5+ years. No climbing experience is necessary, a full safety briefing is given and all safety equipment is provided.
